About BITSAT 2017
BITSAT an online test that is held every year for admissions into the prestigious BITS institutes. It ascertains test-takers’ proficiency in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
BITSAT syllabus is based mainly on the knowledge acquired by students in class XI and XII. However, the exact syllabus is mentioned over the BITS website in the BITSAT 2017 brochure. 2017 BITSAT Important Dates
BITSAT is scheduled to be conducted from May 16, 2017, to May 30, 2017. BITSAT Application Form has to be submitted online with a requisite fee. BITSAT Hall Ticket can be downloaded after booking BITSAT Exam Date from April 15th, 2017 till May 10th, 2017.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria
BITSAT 2017 lays down certain conditions failing to which the admission can be denied. This includes English proficiency along with passing 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognised State or Central education board. The candidates should have 75% or more socre in PCM or PCB and should have at least 60% marks in each of the three core subjects.
For all the applicants satisfying the above mentioned criteria, admissions are based purely on merit i.e. score obtained in BITSAT 2017.
How to prepare for BITSAT 2017
Alhtough, the syllabus for BITSAT and JEE is the same more or less. BITSAT is based NCERT book and complexity level. Therefore, BITSAT requires high accuracy and speed in comparison to JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
It is very important for the student to be acquainted fully to the BITSAT Syllabus in order to do customised preparation. Thus, studying from good books and online websites is important. Also, you should prefer online test preparation for BITSAT since rehearsing BITSAT online would make it replicate the actual pattern more closely.
To acquaint oneself with the BITSAT pattern, it is also important to be keep a BITSAT book or online study material handy.
Preparing for English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning
Contrary to JEE Main and JEE Advanced, BITSAT also assesses the test taker on English proficiency and logical reasoning. It is very important to do ample practice of the same as the competition for BITSAT is immense. Therefore, it is advisable to rehearse mock BITSAT papers from good online sources.
Choosing the Right Date
Since BITSAT exam is conducted over a period of two weeks, it is very important to choose the right date such that the candidate should have at least 3-4 days before the exam to study dedicatedly for BITSAT.
Although BITSAT has a provision for rescheduing the Test Date, it can lead to last minute rush and restlessness which may hamper an aspirant’s performance.
For candidates wishing to reschedule their test dates, the window for requesting the same would be made available from May 11th, 2017.
